Workshop presented Open Pit Theatre in partnership with the Yukon Arts Centre
Materials provided by Open Pit Theatre and Yukon Arts Centre.
Spots are limited.
What is this workshop?
Every child will create their very own glowing fish puppet with the support of our amazing guest facilitator Jessica Hickman.
Once they have all created their puppet, performer and puppeteer Genevieve Doyon will offer up some puppetry basics and guide our glowing school of fish “parade” through the Yukon Art Centre.
Participants will learn techniques that are used by professional puppet and parade designers, and walk away with a small lantern of their own.
Who is it for?
This beginner workshop is suitable for anyone 8+. No specific lantern experience is required, but you should be comfortable working with your hands and comfortable using basic tools. Supervision by a parent or caregiver is required.
