Open Pit Theatre is honoured to create work on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and Ta'an Kwäch'än Council, in beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon.

We aim to produce new and innovative theatre that explores contemporary northern themes and innovative approaches to devising theatre.

The company is led by Artistic Director Geneviève Doyon and Artistic Producer Gloria Mok.

Open Pit Theatre emphasizes the collaborative nature of devising theatre, thus we often invite guest artists from outside the Territory to train, create, and rehearse. We value the exchange of knowledge, resources, and talent between the north and the south and endeavour to create long lasting artistic relationships.
